Stuart Leo Dulek, 31, of Houston, passed away on Sunday, October 23, 2016. He was a proud graduate of Bellaire High School, and of the University of Houston, where he completed a Bachelors degree in Communications. He attended law school at Thurgood Marshall School of Law. He was in the process of completing his teaching certificate.
Stuart was a faithful follower of Christ, active in many facets of church life. He was steadfast in attending Holy Ghost Catholic Church every Sunday with his father and sister. He also regularly attended Lakewood LifeGroup meetings and church events.
He loved comics, and was always working on building his collection. He loved movies, and going to the theater with his father. He was a sports fan, never missing a Packers game during football season. He loved playing basketball, and was always meeting new people and making new friends during pick-up games at the park. Stuart ran daily; he was on the school track team since elementary school, and recently placed second in the HBU Husky Hustle. Stuart loved reading, and trivia; he loved watching Jeopardy with his family. He loved sharing meals with family, especially pizza – his favorite. He loved animals, and always wanted to adopt the stray cats that came by the house.
Stuart always spread a positive attitude, encouraging others to look for the best in people. He was a kind, sweet person, always wanting to help others. He brought his family closer together, and set an example of strength and bravery for them. Stuart loved life. He was a loving, protective brother, and a devoted, faithful son. All who knew him knew Stuart fought the good fight.
He is survived by his parents, Marvin and Ana; sister, Diana; and a host of other family and friends who loved him dearly.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 27, 2016 from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Advantage Funeral Home , 7010 Chetwood Dr. Houston, Texas 77081. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, October 28, 2016 at 10:00 am at Holy Ghost Catholic Church, 6921 Chetwood Dr. Houston, Texas 77081. Interment will follow at Forest Park Westheimer Cemetery.
