Steven Thomas Zellers

Steven Thomas Zellers, went to be with the Lord Thursday, the 15th of September, 2016, in Houston, Texas. Steve was born in Cleveland, Ohio to Carl Addison and Patricia Locke Zellers on the 22nd of October, 1960.

Steve earned his Bachelors degree in Business Administration from West Virginia Wesleyan College graduating Magnum Cum Laude in 1982. After graduating he became a Certified Public Accountant and moved down south to Houston, Texas to work at Arthur Andersen. After Arthur Andersen he continued to hold various accounting positions within numerous industries completing his career with 13 years as Director of Finance at LD Systems.

Steve was a devoted husband, father, and Christian who enjoyed golfing with his kids, attending performances at the Alley Theater with his wife and daughter, and hiking the mountains and relaxing on the beach in Hawaii among other things. He loved to be outside enjoying God’s creation with his friends and family. Special times were spent hunting in Bandera, Texas; watching professional and college sporting events; running half and full marathons and traveling the country in search of good food and better golf.

He is survived by his wife Laurie; children, Madison and Carson; mother, Patricia; brothers, Michael and Jeffrey; and many other cherished family and friends. He is preceded in death by his father Carl.

A memorial service will be conducted at eleven o’clock in the morning on Friday, the 30th of September, in the sanctuary of Memorial Drive Presbyterian Church, 11612 Memorial Drive in Houston. Immediately following, all are invited to greet the family during a reception to be held in the foyer adjacent to the sanctuary.
