Steve Emons Freeman Sr. went to be with the Lord on December 31, 2015. He was born on July 24, 1942 in New Orleans, Louisiana to parents Luther May and Margaret Marie Poole-Freeman. Steve was a Police Officer for many years where he worked for Harris County Sheriff Dept. K-9 Unit, Montgomery County Sheriff Dept., Fort Bend County Sheriff Dept., and Sugarland Police Dept.
He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle and friend that will be dearly missed by all of those who knew and loved him. Steve is preceded in death by his parents; sister Ola Freeman; brother Luther M. Freeman Jr.; and son Jimmy Earl Freeman. He is survived by his wife Glenda Sue Freeman; daughters: Kaye Lynn Freeman-Villareal and her husband Willis and Sharon Ann Freeman-Gill and her husband Benjamin; sons: Michael Steven Freeman Sr., Johnny Howard Freeman and his wife Carol and Steve Emmons Freeman Jr. and his wife Janice; step-son David A. Collins; grandchildren: Jason A Henson, Willis Arron Villareal, Jonathan T. Villareal, Stanley A. Kordowski Jr., Shawn T. Kordowski, Lucas Dillion Kordowski, Stephenie R. Freeman, Michael S. Freeman II, Karen L. Freeman, Charles Steven Freeman, Amie L. Freeman, Steve B. Freeman, and Wyatt E. Freeman; several great-grandchildren; sisters: Hazel M. Noble and Emma M. Covey; brothers: Johnny E Freeman Sr., Howard W. Freeman and Jack A. Addison Sr.; and numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
The family will receive friends for visitation Thursday, January 7, 2016 from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas 77039. A funeral service will be held Friday, January 8, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Brookside Funeral Home in the Family Chapel followed by a burial in Brookside Memorial Park.
