Stephen Bill Vaeza

Stephen Bill Vaeza was born and raised in Houston, Texas.

Steve attended St. Pius X High School, where he established many lifelong friendships.

In 1966, Steve joined the United States Navy where he valiantly served his country during the Vietnam War until his honorable discharge in 1968.

Upon his discharge from the Navy, Steve joined the Houston Police Department and was a member of the police academy class #42. He served the city with honor as a member of HPD until his retirement in 1990.

Steve is preceded in death by his mother and father, Rita and Augustine Vaeza and his brother, David Vaeza, who also was a member of the Houston Police Department. He is survived by brother Augustine Vaeza Jr., sister Irene Fraga, sister Katherine Vaeza and brother Tony Vaeza. He Is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Friends are invited to a visitation with the family for Stephen on Wednesday, January 17, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Earthman Funeral Directors, 8303 Katy Fwy, Houston, TX 77024. Graveside services will be held Thursday, January 18, 2024 at 12:00 PM at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery, 6900 Lawndale St, Houston, TX 77023.
