Stanley Wayne Martin passed away on October 29, 2012. He was born in Baltimore, MD on April 21, 1945. At less than one year of age, his family moved to Houston, Texas, where he spent the rest of his life. As a sergeant in the United States Air Force, 554th recon squad-southeast Asia, Wayne was awarded the Air Medal in 1969 for meritorious achievement while participating in aerial flight. After honorable discharge from the USAF, he attended the University of Houston where he graduated with a B.S. in electronics. Wayne worked for various companies utilizing his electronic skills, and after several years decided to start his own business. He had developed an interest and expertise in horticulture and opened a nursery in the Spring Branch area of Houston. He owned and operated his nursery until July 2012. He is survived by his mother, Josephine Martin; sister, Marcia Turner; wife, Carol Sue Martin; daughter, Michelle Chapman and husband Michael; daughter, Tammy Rother; grandsons, Jackson London Chapman, Hunter and Trapper Rother.
