Stanley “Sonny” Robert Lindrose, 89, was born August 27, 1927 in Galveston, Texas and passed away on May 29, 2017 in Houston, Texas. He served in the Navy in WWII as well as in the Army in the Korean War. He also served his community as a firefighter for 20 years from 1954-1974. Stanley was known to have never met a stranger, fun loving and loved children. He was considered to be big on giving hugs to anyone he could.
Stanley is preceded in death by his mother, Mabel Rodgers; son, Dennis Bamburg; sister, Dorothy Freeman and brother, Marvin Rodgers. He leaves behind his wife, Eunice Lindrose; daughters, Carolyn Meek and husband Elton, and Gail De Leon; son, Ronald Bamburg and wife Bonnie; sisters, Sylvia Creech and Zelma Emerson; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews who were all loved very much.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, June 1, 2017 from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. at Earthman Resthaven Funeral Home with funeral service at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow immediately at Earthman Resthaven Cemetery.
