Sidney Andrew Jackson

Sidney Andrew Jackson was born February 20, 1947, in Galveston, Texas to Walterine Stewart and Bozie Jackson. He departed this life on Friday, January 26, 2024. His early education and high school was in LaMarque, Texas where he attended Lakewood Elementary and Lincoln High School Class of 1966. He worked faithfully for Houston Lighting & Power for 15 years.

In 1974, he married the love of his life, Judy. They enjoyed 49 years of marriage. he was preceded in death by his parents, baby girl Samaria Jackson, and his brother Anthony.

In his spare time, Sidney loved to spend time with family, play cards, and watch sports. He was a devoted fan of all the Houston teams. In his younger days, he played football and basketball. Sidney would not hesitate to coach his grandkids' sports teams every chance he got. He loved to joke all the time and it would be hard to tell when he was serious. Sidney ws full of life all the time.

He leaves to cherish his memory his beloved wife, Judy Jackson; sister Debra Moffitt; brother John Stewart; daughter: Vickie (Ken), Monica (Darrell), Franchell and Chiquita; grandsons (Corey), Darrell Jr, Kenshaud and Kriegan); granddaughters (Chassidy, Shekira, Brittany, Bianca, Alexis, Tori and Lauryn) ans a host of wonderful great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.

A visitation for Sidney will be held Monday, February 12, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Paradise Funeral Home, Inc, 10401 West Montgomery, Houston, TX 77088, followed by a funeral service from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
