Shirley Ann Lane

Shirley started school in Corsicana, then moved to South Houston, where she attended Jeff Davis High School, and participated on the drill team. She married Howard Lee Lane on June 12, 1953, in Houston, Texas. Howard and Shirley remained married for over 68 years. She was a gentle soul to all who knew her. Pets were always attracted to Shirley’s kindness and warmth. Shirley retired as a bank employee, where it was her passion to help others. Howard and Shirley loved to spend time with family and friends. They enjoyed social gatherings and singing Karaoke. She loved cross-stitch and was an avid reader.

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, Eulyess and Dorothy Barron; sisters Alice Barron and Rose Suggs; her brothers Hayden Barron and Allen Barron; and grandson Jeremy Lane.

Left to treasure her memory is her husband, Howard Lee Lane; son Gary Lane (wife Shirley), son David Lane (wife Jackie), and son Robby Lane (wife Beth). Grandchildren Keith, Kyle, Ryan, Steven, and Rachel, six great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.

A visitation for Shirley will be held on Wednesday, January 26, 2022 between the hours of 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Earthman Resthaven Funeral Home, 13102 North Freeway, Houston, Texas 77060. Funeral services will be held in the Earthman Resthaven chapel on Thursday, January 27, 2022 and will begin with a viewing period from 9:00 am to 10:00 am, memorial services at 10:00 am, followed by a grave side service.
