Shirley Yvonne Gandy

On November 11, 1949 a baby girl was born to Iverson Gandy Sr. & Betty Gandy. She grew up in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Shirley attended Druid High School, class of 1968. She also attended Stillman College in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Later she met her soulmate, James Edward Nowling of Houston, Texas. Shortly thereafter, they had a son, Kevin Dahryll Gandy. They later had a daughter Sherylete Nakia Nowling. Shirley Yvonne Gandy was preceded in death by her husband James Edward Nowling and great grandmother Sarah Bell. She leaves to cherish her loving memories: Mother Betty Gandy, Father Iverson Gandy, Sr., Aunt Palmira Jones, two children Kevin Gandy and Sherylete Nowling-Polk (Quincy), granddaughter Chloe Ducksworth, siblings: Ivory Bellamy (Reginald) of Jonesboro, GA; Iverson Gandy, Jr. (Susan) of Tuskegee, AL; Anthony Gandy (Keener) of Baton Rouge, LA; Bettye Jolla (Willie Jr.) of Baton Rouge, LA; Teddye Gandy (Juanda) of Montgomery, AL.She is also survived by her mother in law Lola Nowling, sister in law Joyce Nowling, brother in law; Tommy G. Lewis, Billy Frank Lewis, Cornelius Nowling, Jimmy Nowling, her dear friend Sheila Edosomwan and a legacy of nieces and nephews.
