Sheri "Coach T" Lynn Teinert

Sheri Lynn Teinert, "Coach T" passed away peacefully at the age of 61 and went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, May 5, 2024. She was born on August 21, 1962 in San Antonio, Texas. Preceded in death by her parents, Edgar and Edith Teinert and her brother Mark Teinert.

She is survived by her wife of twenty-eight years, Terry Milstead-Teinert, her kitty Maggie Moo and many precious family members and friends.

Sheri graduated from Bellaire High School and the University of Houston with a BA of Science in Education. She taught physical education/health and coached girls’ sports in HISD for thirty years. She enjoyed spending her time going to live theater, singing karaoke, playing with her animals, going to as many Astro games as possible and attending Sugar Land Space Cowboys games too.

Funeral services for Sheri will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, May 18, 2024 at Forest Park Westheimer Funeral Home, 12800 Westheimer Rd, Houston with entombment in the Mausoleum to follow. A visitation will be held prior to the funeral service from 1:00 – 2:00 pm, at the funeral home.

Sheri has requested that everyone please wear bright colors or your favorite sports team shirt/jersey. Houston Astro’s t-shirts and jerseys are highly encouraged.

In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in Sheri’s name to Pilgrim Lutheran Church, 8601 Chimney Rock, Houston TX 77053 or to your favorite animal shelter like Houston Humane Society, 14700 Almeda Rd, Houston TX 77053 in Sheri’s name.
