She lived life to the fullest. She was loving and fearless! As early as one year old, while sleeping, her dad, John Thompson, decorated the kitchen walls with bright birthday streamers and balloons. He woke Shannon and carried her into the kitchen. Her eyes glowed big and bright with amazement like she was in wonderland. I knew then and there that she would love parties and festivities. I could feel losing Shannon. I had this foreboding feeling. Well, now my Shannon is in heaven like a star, forever shining bright.” - Georgina Burroughs Thompson.
