He enjoyed wood working, enjoyed repairing a variety of machinery-anything that broke he was going to try to repair it even when his wife said to call a professional. He enjoyed watching cowboy movies, the Dallas Cowboys and professional boxing to name a few. He enjoyed a good dessert, let me emphasize He wasn’t picky as long as it was sweet.
Sergio was a very strong loving man. He always looked at life in a positive way, never focused on the negative or the blows life threw at him. Even during his declining health, he was always positive and never complained about his life or pain he was in, he just kept marching forward and always had a beautiful smile for you. Even in his last moments he asked, “Why are you crying,” and never wanted to make anybody feel bad. We Love you dearly and will miss you immensely!
He was proceeded in death by his parents, two brothers, one sister and his two beloved sons Hector and Johnny Garza as well as many other cherished family members.
He is survived by his beloved wife Nicolasa Garza of 59 years, son Sergio A Garza Jr, daughter Yolanda Avila, grandchildren Jennifer Garza, Mario Avila Jr, Lorenzo Avila and wife Devynn Walker Avila, Matthew Avila, Alexandria Avila and Adrian Garza. He was also blessed to have four great grandchildren, Adalin Avila, Eliana Grace, Ryann Avila, and Barrett Avila.
