Sarah Helen Womack

Sarah Helen Womack, 89, went to be with the Lord on September 3, 2015. She was born in Dawson, Texas on October 30, 1925 and grew up in the area with her two brothers and two sisters. After high school, she attended the University of North Texas in Denton where she earned her bachelors degree in business administration and library science.

She began her career as a public school educator in 1944 teaching business in high school in the Dallas area and in other Texas locations before moving to Andrews, Texas in 1957. She finished out her career as a public school librarian before retiring in 1983. She then moved to Houston, Texas to be near family and enjoyed the rest of her years being a devoted grandmother and parent.

Her parents, James Andrew Bills and Mattie Carmack Bills, also, brothers Hulen and Mack Bills and sister Wilda Slater precede Sarah in death. She is survived by her sister Sue Floyd, son Brian Jordan and wife Ronda and grandsons Kyle and Eric Jordan, daughter, Frances Burke and husband Brian and grandson Marshall Burke and granddaughter Jenna Burke. All those who loved her will dearly miss Sarah.
