Sarah Winceanna Wilkins

Winceanna Wilkins, beloved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother passed away suddenly on September 14, 2013 at the age of 91. What a great ride our mom had, born on June 23, 1922 in a small town in Texas. She married our father at the age of 16 and they were married for some 60 years before his death in 1999. Mom was preceded in death by her Dear husband, F.S. “Shorty” Wilkins; son, David L Wilkins; grandson Will Wilkins. She is survived by three sons: Bill, Dale and wife Lori and Marc Wilkins; two daughters: Allison and Sara Wilkins; four grandchildren, Amy, Ginger, Jamie and Brad and two great grandchildren: Carter and Kaitlyn Coleman. Mom was a charter member of the Memorial Church of Christ and spent the last 30 years as a member of the Kingwood Church of Christ where she had many loving friends and relationships, she will be missed by all that knew her. Mom and Dad had such a good life together as they traveled the world, played golf any time they could. Mom was also an accomplished bowler into her 80’s. She loved to read, watch sports on TV and be with her family, enjoyed Mexican food and of course the frozen margarita, but she will be most remembered for her great faith and love of God and family.
