Sara Land

Sara Land, beloved mother, grandmother and sister, was born July 05, 1939 in Chattanooga,Tennessee. She passed away peacefully on September 23, 2016 in New Caney, Texas. She is preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Land; a son, Clyde Land, Jr.; two brothers, Ralph Fryar, Jr. and James Fryar; her parents, Rathmal and Virginia (Walker) Fryar. Sara is survived by and will be deeply missed by her son, Rocky Land and wife Sue; grandchildren: Christy McQueen, Karen Land, Clyde G. Land III, Virginia Land, Jessica Hanvy, Rocky Land II; 10 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandson. Also cherishing her memory is her brother Tommy Fryar.

Visitation will take place from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 28, 2016 at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home. Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 29, 2016 in the chapel of Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Drive Houston, Texas 77038 (281) 447-8686. Following the funeral service; Sara will be laid to rest with her husband Clyde at Houston National Cemetery.
