Santos Amando Vela, age 73, passed away Wednesday, June 6, 2012. He was preceded in death by his son, Armando Vela and his sister, Ramona Garcia. Survived by his wife, Hortencia Vela; daugher, Marie Ludolph; step-daughters, Beatrice Sabala and husband Gabriel and Mary E. Hall and husband Douglas; grandchildren, Sarah Sabala, Katie Sabala, and Marcello Vela; sister, Lucy; numerous nieces, nephews, and many other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Sunday, June 10. 2012 at Earthman Resthaven Chapel with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, June 11, 2012 at St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church, 10500 Nold Rd., Houston, Texas. Rite of Committal will follow at Earthman Resthaven Cemetery.
