She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Jose Rene Melgar and her father Hector Aguirre.
Left to cherish her memory are her children Nilson Contreras, Jasmine Melgar and Valerie Melgar; mother Julia Aguirre siblings Rosa Linda Aguirre, Mary Elizabeth Darden, Brenda Zertuche; grandchildren Xavier Contreras, Victoria Contreras, Jaedin Prater, Gabriel Prater, Emma Cedillo; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
A visitation will be held Friday, October 2, 2020 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, with a prayer service at 7:00pm, at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home, 6900 Lawndale Street, Houston, TX 77023.
A funeral service will occur Saturday, October 3, 2020 at 9:00 AM followed by a graveside service at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery.
