Sandra Broussard

Sandra Croom Broussard was born in Waycross, Georgia on February 1, 1956 to William and Bessie Croom. She began her journey home to eternal rest on February 6, 2015 at the age of 59. Sandra was a teacher for the Houston Independent School District for 29 years upon her retirement. Teaching children was her gift to the world. Her grandchildren were also her pride and joy. She reveled in being a big part of their lives and they affectionately called her "Nana" or "Nana Banana". She is preceded in death by her husband, Aaron Broussard, Jr. She is survived by her parents, William and Bessie Croom, three brothers, Billy, Dennis and Archie Croom, a sister, Terica Denton, three children, Erica S. Broussard, Michael A. Broussard (Maricela) and Joseph W. Broussard, grandchildren, Maliya A. Hunter, Jhamiyah A. Hunter, Anthony M. Broussard and Andrea M. Broussard. Visitation will be held Friday, February 13 from 7-9 pm at Paradise Funeral Home located at 10401 West Montgomery Road, Houston, TX 77088 and the Funeral Service held on Saturday, February 14 at 1 pm at Living Word Fellowship Church located at 7350 TC Jester, Houston, TX 77088 followed by a burial at Paradise Cemetery.
