San Juana Valdes went to be with her Lord on May 11, 2017. She was born on July 2, 1945 in Saltillo, Mexico to parents Angelina and Nemencio Hernandez. San Juana was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, Jesus Valdes; four children, Myrna Valdez and husband David Morin, Albert Valdez, Miguel Valdez, Jesse Valdez and wife Angelica; four grandchildren, Victor Rodriquez, Isiah Valdez, Andrew Valdez, Benito De La Garza; four siblings, Amalia Maya, Julia Hernandez, Josefina Hernandez, Lourdes Patricia Rico and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends for visitation Tuesday, May 16, 2017 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM with a rosary at 6:00 PM; and a funeral service Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at 11:00 AM in the Grand Chapel at Brookside Funeral Home; followed by a burial at Brookside Memorial Park, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas 77039.
