It’s been years since my uncle’s passing but I find myself thinking about him often because of the many great memories I have of him. I truly miss him. He was so full of life and when I would spend time with him, it was all laughs and great times. I will always remember camping, sitting around the camp fire and Sammy telling his expressive jokes and everyone laughing so hard. He always wanted everyone  to enjoy themselves. You are sorely missed Sammy.

My name is Jerry Maley and I sold Sam my 1996 Impala which I know he was very happy to own.  During the selling process, we became good "phone friends" and stayed in touch.  I am a New York Yankee fan and of course Sam, was an Astro fan  He was so sweet to me as he sent me a Astros shirt and hat.  I will now cherish this shirt and even though I am a Yankee fan I will wear it proudly.  My wife and I are devastated to hear the news of his passing today from his wife Edith..

 I just heard about this today. While I never met Sam we did have quite a few phone conversations over the past few months. I thought of him as a friend with a mutual mission on our minds. 

 My thoughts and prayers go out to the family. Rest in peace Sam. 

Sam was a blessing to know and anyone that knew him he always treated us as family. It was an honor to have known such a great father and loving husband but most of all a great friend that we will always call family. We love you Sam and you will be dearly missed by all that knew you. 

Dear Mrs. Edith and David, our love thoughts and prayers are with you and your entire family.  We will always remember Mr. Sam as a caring, giving and thoughtful friend. I will never forget the July 4th weekend at the lake. Bar-B-Q, beer and Michael Jackson blasting on the radio and Mr Sam dancing and signing. What I cherish the most is how you guys invited us into your lives with open arms and made us feel like family . We are going to miss our friend and brother in Christ as we reflect on Gods promises.

God will never call you to a place and leave you unattended. Be assured that the God who has numbered the hairs on your head is fighting for you. His favor will surround you like a shield (Psalm 5:12).

I will always be thankful that  you always were such a awesome and caring uncle to Munchy And for never thinking twice to be there for us. You were such a awesome dad and I will hold your memories with me forever.  Taking us to Eat your favorite Vietnamese sopitas that we all hated going to lol and eating breakfast at moms on Sundays . I miss you brother in law and I love you so much can’t wait to see you and Katherine on that beautiful day when the angels sound the trumpets 

Sammy, you’re kindness and love for others was unique and powerful. Visiting you with my family back in 2014 was an unforgettable trip. I will always remember the carne Asada you made for my family that night, you made this incredible seasoned fajita and it was honestly the best I ever had. I always talked about it haha. I remember your back yard and the walk around your house in Houston. Your wife Was another reflection of your love. She would want to do my hair and make me feel so special. Your son is a resemblance of you as well. 
I pray for your family in this time. But God is always gracious and He will always protect and guide the broken hearts at this moment.  

Edith and David, our deepest condolences to you and all the family.  We will never forget my cousin Sammy and your precious family.  The hospitality you showed for us when we went to visit will forever be embedded in our hearts.  Sammy May you rest in heavenly peace, and may God’s peace reign over the loved ones that remain here on earth.  Forever in our hearts. Love Luis, Brenda, Jeremy, Jennifer, Jacob and Jeann Garza.
