Sam Giambelluca passed away at a rest home in Arizona on Wednesday, July 26, 2017 at the age of 94. He was born in Bryan, Texas. As a young child, he moved to Stafford, Texas with his family. He spent most of his adult life in Houston, Texas where he worked as a butcher in a grocery store. Later, he worked and retired from the courthouse in Houston. He enjoyed taking is wife dancing. Also, he always enjoyed sporting a suit and shoes that would match whatever color outfit his wife wore. Later in life, he moved to Arizona with his wife and spent the last few years in a rest home there. At his age, he still had a good time flirting with the nurses and eating Milky Way candy bars. He was preceded in death by his wife, Cristine Giambelluca, his parents, Jake and Josephine Giambelluca, his brother, Charlie Giambelluca, and sisters, Carrie Ferro, Mary Maiorka, Laura Carso, Lena Ferro, Janie Schumann, and Rosa Lee Macek. He is survived by his brother, Joe Giambelluca, sister, Josephine Dise, and many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation on Sunday, August 6, from 3-6 at Heights Funeral Home at 1317 Heights Blvd. and the gravesite service the following day at noon at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery at 6900 Lawndale Street.
