Samuel Joseph DiBello "Sam", age 91 of Houston, passed away Tuesday, January 11, 2022. He was a graduate of Missouri City High School in 1948. Sam was a veteran of the Korean War serving his time as a Horizontal Construction Engineer building roads and runways. Following his time in the military, Sam was a barber and home builder in La Porte. Sam would later work for Crown Petroleum as a truck rack manager where he later retired.
Sam loved spending time at his bay house in Hitchcock, where he would spend his time fishing and relaxing until he sold it in 2004. Sam enjoyed traveling the world including his visits to Italy and Alaska.
Spending time with his grandchildren was something he loved the most, teaching them how to fish, how to pull pranks, and loving them unconditionally. Sam would work with his wife Frances managing the warehouses, where he enjoyed finding "treasures" / junk that would be left behind. Building and fixing things was something he would spend hours doing and loved. At one point Sam built his daughter a life size playhouse fully sheet rocked, insulated and electrical and lighting that was indestructible.
