Ruth E. Schindel

Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Fred J. Schindel. She is survived by her daughter Nancy Beth Caston and husband Robert, daughter Kathryn Jane Briody, son Richard Schindel, and grandchildren Krissa Ellen Schindel, Ailise Danielle Briody, and Tierra Kathleen Briody.

Ruth was a school teacher in Oklahoma and began her career in a rural one-room school teaching eight grades. She later moved to Ponca City, Oklahoma to continue her teaching career. She married Fred Schindel and moved to Colorado where Fred worked for Conoco Oil. They along with their children moved to Houston in 1968. Ruth was an active member of St. Andrew Lutheran Church and was a volunteer at various church-related charities. She was a wonderful mother, a devoted wife, and a good friend to many. She will be greatly missed.
