Ruth V. Lozano

Ruth Vera Lozano, 96, peacefully died August 11, 2021 at Memorial Hermann Hospital. She was born July 4, 1925 in Houston, Texas. She grew up in Second Ward where she met her husband Edmond M. Lozano. They were married for 51 years. Ruth was a devoted Catholic where she married our dad and attended Our Lady of Guadalupe Church. She was a member of the “Abuelitas” and volunteered every year at the Spring and Fall festivals and various other functions and celebrations at OLG. She was preceded in death by her husband Edmond on June 27, 1998. She is survived by her children: Edmond M. Lozano Jr. and wife Elia, his children Adriana Lynette Lozano, Lisa Ruth Rey, Jerry Ribera, Christopher Matthew Lozano and Miranda Lozano. Daughter: Maria Lydia Gonzalez and husband Joe, her children Edmond Ralph Gonzalez, Angela Marie Gonzalez, Francis Marie Gonzalez and Michael Joseph Gonzalez. Son: Frank Lozano. Daughter: Mary Margaret Sierra and husband Moises, her children Moises Sierra Jr (vejo) and Michael Randu Sierra (vejo) Daughter: Mary Angela Bass and husband James Edward Jr, her son Andrew Gilbert Quintero. Also survived by 29 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. Sisters: Eva Powell and Carmen Kuhn and a rest of other nieces and nephews and friends. Funeral Home will be Del Angel-Crespo Funeral Home at 2516 Navigation Blvd Houston, Texas 77003 with viewing from 3pm – 8pm for the public with a rosary at 6pm on August 23, 2021. Public will meet for Mass Celebration on August 24th, 2021 at noon at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church at 2405 Navigation Blvd, Houston, Texas 77003. Interment will follow at Forest Park Lawndale. The family is inviting all to a reception at the cocinita at Our Lady of Guadalupe from 2pm – 4pm.
