Ruth Allene Gibbs

Ruth Allene Gibbs, 92, of Houston, Texas, passed away in eternal life on, February 20, 2018. She was born in Pennington, Texas on November 11, 1925. Ruth graduated from Pennington High School. Ruth was married Jack Gibbs.

Ruth was a home maker, wife and mother. She had a passion for crochet, sewing and gardening.

Ruth is preceded by, parents, Walter Lee Simpson and Myrtle Ann Simpson, her husband of 30 years Jack Gibbs, daughter and son-in-law, Ruth and Joe Sanders, sister-in-law, Dorothy Simpson and granddaughter, Chelsea Gongora, siblings, Walter Simpson, Earlene Simpson, Juanita Wilkerson, Clois Simpson and wife Phyllis, and Betty Jean Henderson.

Ruth leaves behind to cherish her memory her daughter, Margie Morrow, grandson, James Landrum and wife Elizabeth, great-grandchild, Lacey Landrum, siblings and their spouses, Floyd and wife Patsy Simpson, Lois and husband Robert Scmidle, Billie Walker, brother-in-law, Charlie Wilkerson.

The family will be receiving guest on Friday, February 23, 2018 from 5 pm to 8pm at Brookside Funeral Home. The funeral will take place on Saturday, February 24, 2018 at 10 am at Brookside Funeral Home. The internment will be followed in Brookside Memorial Park.
