Ruth Morris Evans, was born on March 15, 1915 and passed away on March 7, 2012. Ruth was born in Hightower, Texas then moved to Homer, Louisiana as a small child. She moved back to Texas early in life and spent the rest of her time in Dallas and Houston. She was preceded in death by her parents Charles and Charlie Jo Butler, her first husband Weldon Morris, her second husband W. Noel Evans and her brother Thomas Butler. She is survived by her sons, Robert W. Morris and J. Don Morris, her granddaughter Jennifer Morris Taylor and husband Jimmy, her grandson Glen Morris and wife Melissa, her great grandchildren Kacie and Jaxon Taylor, step daughter Noela Evans Seiter and husband John, sister in law Francis Butler and nephews Thomas and Charles Butler. Her greatest passion was her family, especially her two sons and her grandchildren. She has been a member of St. Luke's Methodist Church almost since its inception in the early 1950s and has traveled the world over several times. Ruth had a wonderful, long life and was cherished by many. She will live forever in our hearts. A funeral service will be held on Mon. March 12, 2012, at 2 PM, with the Entombment to follow. Services will be in the Memorial Mission Mausoleum at Forest Park Westheimer. Reception to follow in funeral home. In lieu of flowers, please make any contributions to St. Luke's Methodist Church.
