It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Ruth Elaine Noble Dennis. Ruth was the beloved wife, mother, sister, and dear friend to so many of us. She bravely battled multiple myeloma the last seven years.
Ruth was born the youngest of five children on December 03,1952 to John and Alice (Bernethy) Noble in Altus, Oklahoma. She grew up in the small Texas Panhandle towns of Sunray and Fritch. While attending Sanford-Fritch High School, Ruth was a cheerleader, active in athletics, and an outstanding actress in one act play competition. Later, she achieved her goal of earning her college degree from the University of Oklahoma.
With her outgoing personality and analytical mind Ruth was outstanding in her chosen profession of real estate sales. She eventually became a real estate broker. Ruth loved her work, her family and her church.
Ruth was baptized and became a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints on June 22, 1997. She served in many callings, including Relief Society President and Seminary Teacher.
Ruth and her beloved husband Gordon Dennis were sealed for time and all eternity on November 1, 2003 in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Dallas, Texas Temple. She is survived by Gordon, her children, Jarra Presley of Austin, TX, Austin (and wife Natalie) Johnson of Temple TX, and Savannah (and Husband Ori) Yair-Levy of Tiberius, Israel. Especially loved by Ruth were her grandchildren Olivia, Charlie and Cecelia Johnson and Nathanel, Mila, Jordon, Ella and Daniel Yair-Levy. She is also survived by her step children Kristen, Adam, Melodee, and Katie, her brother John Noble of Amarillo TX, her sister Carol Noble of Oklahoma City OK and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends especially her "close like a sister" friend Cathy Merris.
A graveside service to honor Ruth's memory will be held Thursday, April 10th at 10:45 am at The Houston National Cemetery.
Floral deliveries should be addressed to Advantage Funeral Home, 7010 Chetwood Dr. Houston, TX 77081, or, in lieu of flowers, contributions to the American Cancer Society, would be appreciated.
