Russell Eugene Hartman

Russell Eugene Hartman, aged 83, of Conroe, Texas, passed away on December 10, 2024. He was a dedicated public servant, known for his distinguished career as a senior captain in the Houston Fire Department, where he spent many years protecting and serving his community. His bravery and leadership left a lasting impact on his colleagues and the residents of Houston. In addition to his service in the fire department, Russell honorably served in the Navy, where he developed a strong sense of duty and camaraderie. He cherished these experiences and was proud of his contributions to both the fire service and his country.

Russell is survived by his sons Gerald Eugene Hartman (Delores) and son Paul Franklin Hartman (Donice); his grandchildren Daniel Hartman (Chrystel), Matthew Hartman (Briana), and Haley Hartman (Shawn); and 12 great-grandchildren.

Russell was preceded in death by his spouse Helen Ann Hartman; his father August Paul Hartman and his mother Doris Louise Thomas Hartman; his sister Mary Ardis Johnson; his paternal grandfather August Gustav Hartman, and his paternal grandmother Pauline Becker Hartman.
