Ruby M. Stone, 82, died on March 19, 2016. Native Houstonian and member of Oak Forest Baptist Church. She retired from Houston Police Dept after 20 years of service Class #15. She was a member of Oak Forest Chapter #1080 OES, and Melrose Assembly #204 SOOB. Loving Mother and Mimi, she is survived by daughter Glenda Cummins and husband Dave, son James Stone and wife Sandra, grandchildren Jennifer Holkem and husband Brendon; Laura Patrick and husband Curtis; David Floyd; Melissa Williams and husband Lance; great grandchildren Julia and Emily Holkem; Chase and Preston Floyd; Reese, Ellie, and Moses Williams. Visitation at Oak Forest Baptist Church, 1700 W 43rd, Houston, TX on Saturday March 26, 9-11 A.M. Service to follow officiated by Dr. Richard Walters, burial at Memorial Oaks Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, Mother requested donations made to Oak Forest Baptist Church.
