Rosita Cruz Garcia

Rose was born to Felipe and Dolores Cruz April 13, 1941, in Agana, Guam. She graduated from George Washington High in 1959. She married Jose Garcia in 1962, and they lived together in Houston, Texas. Together they raised five children; Rose Ann, Barbara, Melissa, Michael and Robert.

She is survived by her husband Jose Garcia. Predeceased by:Parents Felipe and Dolores Cruz, Sisters/Brothers and in-laws: Nieves C. & Juan F. Flores, Felipe M. Cruz, Francisco M. Cruz, Peter M. Cruz, Elenita and Atanacio M. Manibusan, Raymond J. Aflague, Antonio M. Flores.

She will also be missed by her Sisters, Brother, and In-laws in Guam: Dolores C. Aflague, Virginia C. Flores (CA), Jose & Christine Cruz (WA), Alfred and Sylvia Cruz, Anna and Jesus Bamba, Patricia Cruz and David Chaco, Sri Cruz, Janet Cruz.

Rose worked as an admitting clerk for Memorial Herman for 25 years. She enjoyed crocheting, cooking, dancing, being with family and making sure daddy always had a pot of frijoles. She was also actively involved in St. Francis Cabrini church.

A funeral for Rose will be held on Thursday, November 10, 2022 at 9am, Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home. A reception will follow at Joe's house after the ceremony. The family would also like to thank all of the family and friends here in the US and Guam for all of the love and support that was given so dearly to our entire family. Our Texas Rose is smiling down at all of you.
