

Rosemary Tate Creel, (82) of Cypress, Texas died October 6, 2015, surrounded by family at the North Cypress Medical Center. She was born in Livermore, Kentucky on November 22, 1932 to William Leslie and Elise Gregory Tate. Rosemary spent her formative years in Central City, Kentucky and graduated from the University of Kentucky with distinction. She was a lifelong member of the Church of Christ in the communities in which she lived, most recently Jersey Village Church of Christ.
She truly cared about others all of her life. She made many special connections with people of all ages. She was an avid reader, admired and appreciated quilts, and thoroughly enjoyed collecting glassware as a hobby.
The family wishes to thank Dr. Sameh Aziz and his nurse, Esther, for their compassionate care of Rosemary since 2011.
Survivors include her husband of 60 years, William “Bill” Creel; two brothers, Tommy Tate (Millie) of Newburgh, Indiana, and Donald Tate of Lenoir, North Carolina; a sister, Carolyn Oglesby of Kerrville, Texas; two sons, Steve Creel (Brenda) of Pennsauken, New Jersey, and Barry Creel (Pattie) of Katy, Texas; two daughters, Marta Anderson of Austin, Texas, and Susan Hoza (Steve), of Cypress, Texas; ten grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.
Services are to be held at the Jersey Village Church of Christ on Saturday, October 10, 2015 followed by burial at the Memorial Oaks Cemetery in Houston, Texas.
