Rose Marie Reilly

Rose Marie (Roe) Reilly died April 7, 2016 at the age of 90 in Houston Texas. Born September 16, 1925 in Cleveland Ohio to Thomas J. Kegg and Rose Ethel Champion Kegg. Rose Marie moved to Houston in 1935, graduated from St. Agnes Academy and went on to graduate from Rice University at the age of 19.

After graduation she moved to New York City and attended Katherine Gibbs College and worked in New York City happily for several years. She returned to Houston where she met her future husband Jack (John J) Reilly. They married on October 29, 1949 and were married 52 years and had 4 children.

Preceded in death by her husband John J. (Jack) Reilly of 52 years and son Joe, brothers David, Thomas and Robert Kegg. She is survived by 3 children, daughter; Virginia Leeland and husband Jim, Son Thomas K. Reilly and daughter Cynthia Reilly, 6 grandchildren; Erin Leeland Nes, Timothy James Leeland. Christy Wyman Sebesta, Brian Wyman, Megan Reilly and Kyle Reilly. Six great-grandchildren; Chase and Molly Sebesta, Acelin Bobbit and Flynn Love and Jack and Luke Nes. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Roe was a long time parishioner of Saint Michael Catholic Church, volunteering for Catholic Charities for many years. Beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother she will be missed and remembered for many years to come.

A celebration of Mrs. Reilly’s life will be on Tuesday, April 12, 2016 at 10:00 am in the Hunters Creek Chapel at Earthman Funeral Directors, 8303 Katy Freeway, Houston Texas 77024, with a reception to follow in the events room at the funeral home.
