Rose Marie Palla

She is survived by her son, Gilbert Palla & wife Valerie Powell; grandsons, Matthew Palla and Andrew Palla; sister, Margaret Strmiska; numerous nieces and nephews; extended family, Buddy & Angela Birdwell.

Rose worked for Kroger, Henke & Pillot from 1953-1962, then back to Kroger from 1969-1999. She was a charter member of St. Theresa Catholic Church from 1947, where she was in the Women's Club, school volunteer, and a volunteer at the Little Flower Thrift Shop. Rose enjoyed seeing her two grandsons participate in their favorite school and sports activities. They were hers and Poppy's pride and joy, and she was their biggest fan.

A visitation for Rose will be held Thursday, January 16, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Heights Funeral Home, 1317 Heights Blvd, Houston, TX 77008. A rosary service will occur Thursday, January 16, 2025 from 7:00 PM to 7:30 PM, 1317 Heights Blvd, Houston, TX 77008. A funeral service will occur Friday, January 17, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at St. Theresa Catholic Church, 6622 Haskell St, Houston, TX 77007. A committal service will occur Friday, January 17, 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at Woodlawn Garden of Memories Cemetery, 1101 Antoine Dr, Houston, TX 77055.
