Rose M. (Bordovsky) Novosad was born in LaGrange, Texas on Thursday, September 26, 1929, to parents, Martin and Louise Bordovsky. She went home to be with the Lord in Houston, Texas on Friday, April 5, 2013, at the age of 83.
Rose was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Cyril M. Novosad and a son, Michael Novosad. She is survived by loving children, daughter, Linda Grimes and husband Tom III, daughter, Donna Novosad Cotton, daughter, Debra Schovajsa and husband James and son, Danny Novosad. Also surviving are the grandchildren she was so proud of, Thomas Grimes IV, Joshua Rodgers, Britney Schovajsa, Travis Schovajsa, Lindsay Grimes and Jacob Cotton.
Family and friends gathered for a visitation in the chapel of Waltrip Funeral Directors from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Monday, April 8th, where the Rosary was recited at 7:00 p.m.
The Funeral Liturgy was held in the sanctuary of Our Lady of Walsingham Catholic Church, 7809 Shadyvilla Lane in Houston, at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 9th, with Father James Moore celebrant and Father Charles Hough, IV con-celebrant.
The Rite of Committal followed at Forest Park Westheimer Cemetery.
