Rose Marie Meyer

Rose Marie Meyer (Rosie) of Houston, Texas passed away on Wednesday, February 22, 2023, at the age of 80. Rosie was born on March 30, 1942, in Houston, Texas where she grew up. She attended Catholic school and graduated from Incarnate Word Academy in 1960.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 31 years Alfred Meyer Jr, her parents Charlie and Leona Schelsteder, and her brother Charles Schelsteder.

She is survived by her daughter Barbara Ashorn and husband Gary living in Pearland, son Thomas Meyer and wife Dominga (Sandy) living in Manvel, sister Dorothy Keilers and husband Kirby and brother James Schelsteder. Grandchildren: Thomas Skieyer and wife Jessica, Cody Meyer and wife Christina, Amanda Meyer and husband Rudy Reyes, and Michael Ashorn. Great grandchildren: Arlo Reyes (5) and Holdyn Reyes (3 months).

Family and friends are invited to attend a Visitation from 5 pm to 7 pm on Friday, March 3, 2023, at Forest Park Westheimer Funeral Home located at 12800 Westheimer Rd, Houston, TX 77077, followed by a recitation of the Rosary at 7 pm.

Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, March 4, 2023, at 10 am at St. Theresa Catholic Church located at 705 St Theresa Blvd, Sugar Land, TX 77498 followed by interment at Forest Park Westheimer located at 12800 Westheimer Rd, Houston, TX 77077.
