In high school I always remember Rose Marie as being a cheerful upbeat person and she remained that way up til the very end. I will miss talking to her when I called about our reunion lunches but she’s in a better place now . Rest In Peace Rosie.

How sad it is to know that one of my dear classmates from Benedictine Academy has left us  but is now at peace. Your journey here on earth has ended but now you are at rest after a difficult illness. I remember you as always smiling. That smile still comes through in pictures of you in later life. You were a part of all the memories we created in high school. I want your husband and family to know that you were such a gentle, kind person in school. You have gone before us but maybe one day Our Lord will let us have a B.A. reunion!

Today, I am thinking of Rosemarie  Fichera 
Scherer.
The first thought that enters my mind is that of a very happy teenager who always had a smile for everyone.
That joy of life and its experiences remained with Rosemarie throughout her life.
She and Joe were pleasant and contented with each other and their life  together.
They traveled to many national parks and spoke enthusiastically about their many adventures.
The last time I spoke with Rosemarie and Joe
I heard the continuation of spirited conversation and willingness to share ideas and  friendship.
I will always remember her courage and  gladness.

Rosie, growing up in Clifton was a very special time for us. We survived our years of elementary school at Saint Brendan’s and learned a lot in the process! 

Benedictine Academy was also rewarding and I especially remember junior year when your parents took me with you guys to Texas for two weeks when my dad was in the hospital. It was there that we learned to smoke. 🤦‍♀️🥴

You are now with your parents and your suffering is over. May you  Rest In Peace;  you will never be forgotten.

Our high school years seemed a short while ago, dances, proms, school retreat,  senior class trip to Canada. As adults we stayed in touch, enjoying camping with our husbands and visiting each other as often as we could,   The years have flown by and now it’s hard to say goodbye but you will never be forgotten  Rosie, my dear friend. Thank you for all the wonderful memories. Rest In Peace with our Lord never to feel pain again! Many blessings to your husband Joe for being a part of our friendship. Joe may the Lord provide healing and comfort in your sorrow I wish we could be there with you physically but be assured that we are with you in our thoughts and prayers.

My family spent a week at Aunt Rose's & Uncle Joey's house every summer when I was growing up. We made so many happy memories having picnics on the beach and eating fresh crab. Nothing in the world was ever better than Aunt Rose's Shrimp Spaghetti! I was very blessed to have such a wonderful, kind, and funny aunt. She will be dearly missed.
