Rose Janelle Griffin passed away on September 3, 2012. She was born in Brenham, Texas on December 14, 1942 and moved to Houston in 1954 to the Heights. Rose was one of 6 children born to Arnold and Rosa Weiss. Her surviving siblings are Ruth Evans, Deloris Blahuta, Arnold Weiss Jr. , Carol(Susie) Anderson and David Weiss. She attended Reagan High School, graduated cosmetology school and was a bookkeeper. She was united in marriage to William Landon Mayhew and is survived by her four children, Robert Mayhew, Rodney Mayhew, Rhonda Mayhew and Roxanne Salinas. She was a loving grandmother to eleven grandchildren and great grandmother to 7 great grandchildren.
