Rose Bryant, 87, of Houston, TX, passed away on December 10, 2017. She was born in Vardaman, Mississippi on August 11, 1930 to John and Ruth McLaughlin. She was married to Billy Joe Bryant for 26 years. Rose was an astute businesswoman with a career in Real Estate. She was a member of Valley Public Water Commission and had a passion for cooking, sewing, going on cruises and spending time with her family. Rose was often described as smart, tough, and hardworking. But anyone who knew Rose would agree that under that smart businesswoman veneer was a heart of gold. Her many, many gestures of kindness and service were always performed inconspicuously. Rose was truly a remarkable lady and lived her values by example. She will be greatly missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents John and Ruth McLaughlin, sister Ruby Bergeron, and husband BJ Bryant.
She is survived by her 3 children: Barbara Bergeron, Diane McIver and Steve Bryant and wife Melissa; seven grandsons: Marc Bergeron and wife Carol, Jeff Bergeron and wife Belinda, Brandon Bryant, Blake Bryant and partner Mary, Austin Bryant and wife Amanda, Matthew McIver and Mitchell Bryant; great-grandchildren: Martha, Grace, Thomas, Miles, Annabelle and Ben. Rose is also survived by her two sisters Mary and Lucille and one brother Bill as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
