Rosario "Rose" Maceo, Jr., of Houston, passed away on Tuesday, February 22, 2011. Rose was born in Beaumont, TX on January 6, 1951 and was raised in Galveston. He attended O'Connell College Preparatory School and graduated from the University of Houston. Rose also held numerous certifications in computer technology.
He was a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church at Memorial Park, as well as a member of the Knights of Columbus.
Rose was preceeded in death by his parents, Rosario "Rose" Maceo, Sr. and Frances Dispensa Maceo. He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Patricia "Kitty" Court Maceo; his daughters Amanda and Andrea Maceo and Anessa Carlson; his granddaughter Savanna Carlson; his sister-in-law Vivian Akins; his nephews Michael, Jason and Jake Akins; as well as other loving relatives and friends.
Visitation with the family will be from 5 until 8 PM on Friday, February 25, 2011, with a Vigil to begin at 7 PM in the Hunters Creek Chapel at Earthman Funeral Directors, 8303 Katy Freeway, Houston. Mass of the Resurrection will be held at 12 PM on Saturday, February 26, 2011 at St. Theresa Catholic Church, 6622 Haskell Street, Houston. Rite of Committal will be in Forest Park Westheimer Cemetery.
Contributions may be made in honor of Rose to St. Theresa Catholic Church or to the M.D. Anderson Cancer Center.
