Rosalyn Robinson McCoy was born September 24, 1965 to Carolyn J. Robinson and Wilbert A. Ethridge in Houston, Texas. She accepted Christ at an early age. She was baptized under the leadership of Pastor A. Louis Patterson, Jr. in 1978 at Mt. Corinth Missionary Baptist Church of Houston, Texas. During her young adult life she joined True Vine Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor George E. Sims where she sung in the choir. She later united with Good Samaritan Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Bishop Lester E. Blount, Sr., where she worked so dillgently in the Media Department and was an active member of the Sunday School. She graduated from Phyllis Wheatley High School in Houston, Texas in 1984 and she was active in the "Dancing Dolls" Drill Squad. Rosalyn was employed at American General, Huitt & Associates in The Houston Chronicle. She later was united in matrimony to Willie McCoy in Houston, Texas. Rosalyn was preceded in death by her father Wilbert Ethridge and her baby boy Darius. She leaves to cherish her memory: Her loving husband, Willie McCoy (Houston, Tx.); Two sons, Destin Lanier Ethridge and Evander Lamarque Foreman of Houston, Tx.; Granddaughter Baby Jaleea; Mother, Carolyn Robinson Ethridge (Donald) Tx; Five brothers, Wilbert Ethridge, Jr. (Carrie) of Atlanta Georgia, Ralph Ethridge, Phillip Ethridge (Shittann); Michael Edthridge and Alen Robinson all of Houston and two sisters Deborah Turner (Terry) of Houston, Tx., and Diane Ethridge of San Antonio, Tx; her best griend Edith McMillian of Houston, Texas and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins, family and close friends.
