Born: November 29, 1922 Died: October 13, 2010 at the age of 87.
Rosalie was called by Christ and led from a life with us to a life in heaven on Wednesday, Oct. 13. Multiple health problems over the past 2 months ultimately overwhelmed her. She fought hard and bravely to the end, especially out of love for her family.
Rosalie retired after 20 years from the Texas Department of Transportation following 15 years at F.W. Woolworth on N. Shepherd Drive in Houston.
She dearly loved her four children (Mary, Bob, Linda and Les), five grandchildren (Lisa, Angela, Emily, Amanda, and Ben), and eight great grandchildren (Brandon, Taylor, Josh, Tanner, Tate, Will, Nora Grace, and Jayce). She also loved her children's partners (Ron, Cynthia, Tom and Sid).
Rosalie cherished her many friends and she was easy to love and have fun with. She was a 50 year member of White Oak Baptist Church, where she touched many lives.
Rosalie had many names of endearment: The Rose, Rosie, Mom, Grammie, and Meme. She loved giving and receiving attention from all she loved and all who loved her. She will be greatly missed by so many.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, Oct.15 at Heights Funeral Home, 1317 Heights Blvd. in Houston 77008. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 16 at White Oak Baptist Church, 3615 Mangum Rd. in Houston 77092. Burial will be at Woodlawn Garden of Memories Cemetery 1101 Antoine Dr. in Houston 77055.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to her beloved church.
