Rosalie Mary Vitale Davison passed away peacefully on December 22, 2020, at 80 years old. Mrs. Davison was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, and sister. She moved to the Houston area from St. Louis, Missouri at age ten. Her parents opened a restaurant named “Big Humphrey’s” after her father’s wrestling name in the Houston area. Here in Houston she met her husband Clyde Davison and before starting a family, owned and operated one of the locations of the “Big Humphrey’s” restaurant. While putting her family and five children first, Mrs. Davison worked as a cosmetologist, owned a dancewear shop, and taught religion, art, and ceramic classes.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Joseph “Big Humphrey” Vitale and Antoinette Cipponeri; her husband of 44 years: Clyde Patrick Davison; her infant daughter: Mary Frances; and her younger brother: Jasper Vitale; as well as many beloved relatives. She is survived by her sisters: Genevieve; and Antoinette (Jesse) ; sister-in-law: Glenda; children: Anne Elizabeth (John), Annette Christine (Mike), Clyde Patrick (Susan), Leonard Joseph (Carrie), and Michael Anthony; and her precious grandchildren: Irene and Michael who were the joy of her life. She is also survived by many other members of her big family and in-laws who she held equally dear to her heart.
Please join us in celebrating her life on December 28, 2020 at Earthman Resthaven. Visitation will be held from 4-8pm and the rosary will be held from 6-7pm the same day. The funeral mass will be held on December 29, 2020 at St. Simon and Jude Catholic Church at 10am. Following the funeral, the burial will be held at South Park Cemetery in Pearland at 2:30pm.
