Rosalie passed away at home after sharing her love with family and friends for almost 95 years. Her last days were peaceful as she successfully fought several bouts during the last 10 years. She is survived by her daughter, Cindy Eatherton and her husband, Terry, and son, David Turner and his wife, Suzanne Linquist; granddaughters Corinna Sue Turner, Jhansie Rose Turner, and grandson, Cody Eatherton, and his wife Monica, and great grandchildren Addison Rose Eatherton and Wes Turner Eatherton, plus many relatives and good friends.
Rosalie's love for her family began to grow as a child growing up in Houston. She liked to tell people of two mothers. Her biological mother, Rose Peeples, loved her dearly and found a loving family to care for her while she went to work everyday. Her other mother was Martha Pasche, the care-giver, whose family accepted Rosalie as their own. So Rosalie grew up in two family homes and enjoyed her sister, Dorothy, her papa, Lester, and many aunts and uncles. It took her years to understand that everyone did not have two mothers and large families who would gather for regular reunions
In 1945, Rosalie married David G. Turner and she added a third family to her life. Rosalie and Dave met each other while attending Reagan High School and remained together their whole lives, sharing many friends and remaining actively connected with their families.
Rosalie's two children, Cindy and David, were adoringly brought up with devoted love while their mom continued in her professional field of personnel management, running the household, transporting kids to little League and dance lessons, and socializing with her many good friends and her big extended family. As Cindy and David grew up and started their own families, Rosalie was totally involved with lives of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and visited them often.
While all of Rosalie's friends and family will miss her dearly, they know the spirit and love she shared with them will be with them forever.
Visitation will be held from 9:30-10:30 AM at St. Stephen's United Methodist Church, 2003 W 43rd St., Houston, Texas 77018, with the funeral service taking place immediately after at 10:30 AM.
