Rose loved cooking, gardening, ceramics, dancing to big-band music, taking care of her family and laughing over tea with her friends. She remained close with all of her brothers and sisters and their spouses throughout the years and they spent time together at every opportunity. When her children were growing up, she spent many happy weekends with her daughters by her side, at her son’s little league baseball games that her husband coached. In later years, Rose and Harold built a bay house in San Leon, Texas where they enjoyed many carefree days of fishing and going to the beach with their children, grandchildren and friends.
Rose was a gentle soft-spoken woman with a quiet strength and unwavering faith in God. She was always ready to lend a helping hand or offer a listening ear to those in need. Rose had an incredible talent for making others feel special. She had a radiant smile and compassionate spirit that brightened the lives of everyone she met.
