Rosalie Theresa Caldarera

She is preceded in death by her parents, Louis Sr. and Vincenzina Caldarera, sister, Mary Bonaccolta and brothers Louis and Sam Caldarera.

She is survived by her nieces, Mary Ann Bonaccolta, Jo Oddo, Linda Caldarera and nephew Robert Caldarera and wife Terri and great nieces and nephews: Angela and Mark Ragusa, Carol Oddo, Stephen Oddo, Christopher and Margaret Oddo, David and Nina Oddo as well as 6 great, great nieces and nephews.

Rosalie was a native Houstonian, she attended Sam Houston High School and graduated from the University of Houston with a degree in Business Administration and a Teacher Certification. She worked for Shell Oil as an Administrative Assistant for 37 years.

She was a long time member of Our Lady of Walsingham Catholic Church and a member of Catholic Daughters, Queen of All Apostles, Court 2258 for over 20 years until her health failed her. She was also a member of the Sienna Club and helped raise money for scholarships for St. Thomas University.

Rosalie was hardworking, organized and wise, holding offices in the organizations in which she belonged. She gave freely of her time, talent and treasure.

Rosalie devoted her life to her family and friends always placing others before herself through her generous nature. She was a beautiful, strong, role model for her nieces and nephews who she thought of as her own children, ever caring and concerned for their own welfare. We will always love and cherish her memory.

The family would like to thank Frances Holmes and Emma Weaver for their daily support, encouragement, compassion and loving care toward Rosalie for many years while at the Forum at Memorial Woods.

The Family will receive friends on Monday, January 28, 2013 from 5-7 pm with a rosary at 6 pm at Earthman Hunters Creek Chapel at 8303 Katy Freeway.

A funeral mass will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at Our Lady of Walsingham, 7809 Shadyvilla Lane, Houston, Texas 77055.

Interment will follow in the Garden of Gethsemani at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery in Houston, Texas.

Serving as pallbearers are Robert Caldarera, Christopher Oddo, Braden Oddo, Stephen Oddo and David Oddo. Honorary pallbearer is Mark Ragusa.
