Rosa Lee Thomas Wadsworth went to be with Our Heavenly Father on September 13, 2021. She was born in Barker, Tx on December 7, 1944, to parents Elbert “Bertie” Thomas and Nadine Rosa Thomas. Rosa worked as a Grocery Merchandiser for most of her work life. Rosa is preceded in death by her parents Bertie and Nadine along with her Brothers Simon Thomas, Bill Thomas, Gene Thomas and Tommy Thomas.
She is survived by her four children Deborah Rosanne Cooper and husband Kevin Cooper, Donald Ray Wadsworth Jr, Dant’e Ross Wadsworth and wife Carmen Wadsworth, and the baby Dana Rochelle Broadway and fiancé Willie Joe Parks Jr.
Rosa also has Thirteen Grandchildren Jason Whaley, Stephen Whaley, Joshua Whaley, Kase Citizen, Dant’e Wadsworth Jr., Sage Wadsworth, Avery Wadsworth, Aiden Wadsworth, Julian Broadway, Samuel Broadway, Sarah Wadsworth, Ashleigh Kirkland, Katelyn Wadsworth. Rosa had 8 Great Grandchildren Hazel Kirkland, Peyton Whaley, Ty Whaley, Claire Whaley, Jayden Whaley, Isabella Whaley, Alyssa Roddey and Alex Stephens.
Rosa enjoyed her crafting, and she was extremely talented in crocheting, sewing and she could make a beautiful piece out of whatever she set her eyes on. She was extraordinarily creative and saw beauty in unusual places. She also enjoyed reading books, she has an extensive library of books. Rosa loved her weekend thrift store trips and luncheons with her girls. Rosa was a expert in gardening and loved to plant and grow Texas Stars, Vegetables. She canned and brewed her own Jams of all flavors, Broth, Tomatoes, Pickles, and Pork and Beans.
She was a Native American from the Choctaw Nation Indian Tribe and she enjoyed learning about the Indian culture and her heritage.
Rosa loved her pets especially her fur babies Romeo, Ciji, Gidget, and Miss Pickles her entire life was centered around her pups, horses, cats and even a cow named Sookie.
The family will receive friends for visitation on September 21, 2021 at Brookside Memorial Funeral Home from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Celebration of Life Funeral Services will be on September 22, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. in the Family Chapel at Brookside Memorial Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston Texas 77039 followed by Graveside Burial Blessing at Brookside Memorial Park.
