Rosa Coronado Villegas, 90, beloved mother, passed on Wed., Sept. 21, 2016 in Houston, TX surrounded by her loved ones. Born Sept. 4, 1926 in Pearsall, TX to the late Enrique and Concepcion Coronado. She was preceeded in death by her husband Joseph, son Carlos, and most recently her sister Teodora Lopez.
Rosa was the loyal and devoted wife of Joseph and mother of his 10 children. She had a lifetime devotion to the Virgin Mary, always praying for her intercession. She was the family’s prayer giant with a healing touch.
Rosa is survived by her children: Pete Villegas, Joe and Irene Villegas, Fidel and Elaine Villegas, Johnny Villegas, Norma and Allan Frederiksen, Magdalena and David Montemayor, Lydia and Jerry Skelly, Bea and Dan Scardino, Sandra and John Griggs, 34 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren, and her brother Robert Coronado.
Visitation at 5 pm and Rosary Vigil at 7 pm on Fri., Sept. 23rd, Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home 6900 Lawndale St. Houston, TX 77023. Celebration of Catholic Mass at 10 am Sat., Sept. 24th, Annunciation Church 1618 Texas Ave, Houston, TX 77003 followed by burial at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery.
