Rosa Vargas, affectionately known as "Rosie," was a beacon of love and strength that touched the lives of everyone she encountered. Her strong spirit and unwavering love, reminiscent of her beloved mother Julia Rodriguez, were the guiding light in her journey through life.
Growing up under the guidance of her parents, Prudencio and Julia, Rosa learned the true meaning of family, love, and resilience. These values became the foundation of her character, shaping her into the extraordinary woman she was.
In every role she embraced—as a devoted daughter, caring sister, loving wife, nurturing mother, doting grandma, great grandma, and auntie—Rosa's heart overflowed with compassion, especially when it came to children. No matter what the circumstance, Rosa always extended a comforting hand and created a haven filled with care, which reflected her boundless love profoundly. One of Rosa's most remarkable qualities was her ability to forgive unconditionally. She always forgave, no matter what, embodying the true essence of love and forgiveness that transcended any shortcomings or mistakes.
During her working years, Rosa was a successful business owner, showcasing her entrepreneurial spirit and determination. She also gave unwavering support to her husband, Peter, as he ran his own business, creating a household based on the values of hard work, dedication, and entrepreneurial drive.
Rosa's dedication to supporting and keeping the family together never faltered. She stood as a pillar of strength and unity during family gatherings, filling each moment with heartfelt love, especially during cherished holiday celebrations.
The children in her family held a special place in her heart, each one a treasured gem embodying her love and legacy. Her children Neftalie, Yvonne, and Monica, along with grandchildren Brandon, Joe, Joshua, Christopher, Ashley, Angela, David, Jeremy, Julia, Jared, and Jazmine, and the many great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews were not just names but living testaments of her steady devotion, their memories forever etched in her heart.
One of Rosa's special joys was giving unique nicknames to all the little ones in the family. She cherished their laughter and hugs, and nothing brought her more joy than receiving “sugar” kisses from the babies, each one a sweet reminder of the love that surrounded her.
Her grandchildren were her pride and joy, and each one was cherished and loved beyond measure. Their laughter and smiles reflected the love Rosa felt for each of them.
What truly brought her the most happiness in her last years was her great-granddaughter, Alice. Alice's presence filled Rosa's life with immense joy during her illness, reflecting the deep love and connection they shared.
Rosa's journey was portrayed with dedication, especially in caring for her beloved husband, Peter, throughout his battle with Parkinson's disease. Her selfless love and constant support were a testament to her inner strength and commitment to those she held dear.
Aside from her deep family bonds, Rosa also had a passion for football. She was a great cook, delighting her loved ones with delicious meals that brought joy to their hearts and warmth to their bellies.
As Rosa embarks on her eternal journey, reunited with her beloved husband, son, granddaughter, siblings, and parents in peaceful serenity, her legacy of love, kindness, and forgiveness lives on in the hearts of all touched by her presence.
Rosa leaves behind two daughters, Yvonne Tobias and Monica Westbrook, and many family members who will continue to cherish her memory as a radiant beacon of love, strength, forgiveness, and unforgettable moments that continue to inspire and uplift those who were fortunate enough to know and love her.
May she rest in eternal peace, surrounded by the everlasting love of her family and the enduring warmth of her beautiful spirit.
