Rosa was devoted to her family and was the best housewife, grandmother, and great grandmother.
She was passionately involved in her church community, St. Jerome Catholic Church, for over 35 years.
She was preceded in death by her father, Miguel Rios, and her mother, Carmen Valadez.
Rosa is survived by her husband of 62 years, Casimiro Elias, daughter Laura Elias (Martin), son Jose Elias (Ana), daughter Thelma Padron (Jose), son Mario Elias (Aracely), daughter Blanca Ramos (Jose), daughter Teresa Elias, son Luis Elias (Crystal), 14 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, 4 brothers and 2 sisters.
The family would like to thank her granddaughter Karina Ramos, for the care and compassion she showed our mother and her grandmother on her final days.
A visitation for Rosa will be held Sunday, September 17, 2023 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Forest Park Westheimer Funeral Home, 12800 Westheimer Road, Houston, TX 77077. A funeral mass will occur Monday, September 18, 2023 at 1:00 PM at St. Jerome Catholic Church, 8825 Kempwood Dr, Houston, TX 77080.
Serving as pallbearers are Jose Elias , Mario Elias, Luis Elias, Alberto Padron, Jr. , Steven Elias and Luis Enrique Elias .
