Rosa Mendez Guerra

Rosa Mendez Guerra was born on September 5th 1936 in Houston TX. She was received by our Lord Jesus Christ on October 20 th 2015. She is preceded in death by her husband Joe “Pepe” Guerra, her parents Ignacio & Catarina Mendez, her son Johnny Guerra, and daughter Cathy Ann Woodlock. She is survived by her children Anna, Joe, Elizabeth & Gerado, Susie, Linda & Gus, Maria Grace & Gene, Debra & Kenneth and Gloria & Martin. Along with her 25 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.

Rosa lived her life with love and care for her husband and children always placing their needs before her own. All family and friends were always welcomed in her home and greeted with a smile and warm meal. Rosa’s meals provided more than nourishment. When any one sat at Rosa’s table they knew they were filling their mind, body and soul with her love and joy, always certain to have left with a piece of her heart.

Rosa’s legacy of love and life will continue to grow in each of us. We will always carry her in our hearts and have the honor of visiting her in our dreams.
